The Witches Festival returns to Elder Scrolls Online. This is a Halloween-themed event during which players have the chance to get various rewards. You must unlock the event activities with a simple quest. If you have completed the quest in the past, look for the whistle in the Collection menu. If not, open the Crown Store and go to the Holiday section.

The quest is free so all players can enjoy the festival. The quest is called Witchmother's Bargain. Complete it and you will get the Witchmother's whistle. This is a memento item. The whistle is used to invoke the Witchmother's Cauldron. This item gives you and your party a 100% XP buff that lasts two hours. It also stacks with other XP buffs. Make use of this buff to gain some levels. This would be a great time to start a new character. But there is more to the event than leveling.

When you kill bosses during the festival, you will be able to loot some chests called plunder skulls. Such a chest can contain various items. You might find pieces for the Skeleton Marionette memento. You will need 10 pieces to obtain this item. The Apple-Bobbing Cauldron is another memento that can be obtained this way. It has seven pieces.

Four festival-themed masks are also available. The chest might drop Hollowjack Motif pages or books. Recipes, furniture, reagents, materials, and many other items can be found in these chests. Dremora plunder skulls are special chests that contain all items from the normal plunder skulls and more. Dremora Motif pages, Glenmoril armor pages, Glenmoril treasure map, and Witches Festival writs may be found inside the special boxes.

The festival writs allow players to get an achievement, a hat collectible, and the “Witch” title. Players will also get Dremora Motif pages based on what bosses they defeat. For every five defeated dragons, money is donated to animal charities. The event is also the time to get event tickets. The tickets will be exchanged for berries that can be used for a new Nascent Indrik evolution. Get enough berries and unlock the Pure-Snow appearance. Impresario the Nascent Indrik NPC sells snow berries, all four feathers, mementos, and style pages. You will find the NPC in all three capital cities. Each time you buy something with event tickets, you get entries for the Season of the Dragon sweepstakes.
